The next step is a beta of fifty. We're open to everyone, but we have a preference for people who genuinely don't run their lives on desktop apps. You might be a frontline worker, a tradesperson, someone who is retired, or someone who just dislikes screens.

Maximus is pure voice and SMS. At this stage, there is no read surface whatsoever.

Here's how it works:

• You get the product — the calls, the morning text, the reminders — and a direct line to the founder. Your feedback shapes the build every week, just as it has for my family.
• We ask that you actually use it and tell us the truth about it — what it got right, what it got wrong, what it should have noticed, how it could be more helpful, whether you tire of it or want more.
• It's a beta. Misses will happen. When they do, they get fixed at the root and written down. You'll be able to see that we did.
